This artwork is a historical depiction, showing two people doing backflips over a ship at Sotetorp.

There are many interesting features on this beautiful sculpture from Sotetorp - the person doing a flip above the ship; the two larger crew members at the front and back, armed with axes and shields and the double rows of points hanging above the crew.

Comparisons have been made with the Minoan bull acrobats who are contemporary with the Bohuslän rock carvings, although they are not geographically close.

It may seem far-fetched, but arguments have been made that this link correlates with the copper trade between the eastern Mediterranean and Scandinavia in the Early Bronze Age.
